Detailed Guide

Real-time notifications for wallets, markets, price movements, and shareable alert lists.

Alerts keep you on top of everything that matters on Polymarket — your own trades, wallets you follow, market-level price moves, brand-new markets, and more. Notifications arrive in real time in the app, via Telegram, or both.

Alert types

Order fill

A trade was executed — by you or by a wallet you follow.

Market trade

A large trade on a specific market you're watching.

Global trade

Any trade anywhere on Polymarket that matches your size and keyword filters.

Price hit

A market's Yes or No side crossed a price you set.

Volatility

A market's price swung more than a threshold inside a time window you choose.

New market

A newly listed market matches your tag or keyword filters.

Market resolved

A market you hold a position in has resolved — winning tokens redeem automatically.

Merge / Split / Redeem

Token share events on a wallet you follow.

Deposit / Withdrawal

USDC movement on your own account.

Subscriptions

Every alert comes from a subscription — a rule you create once and edit or archive later. Subscriptions come in three scopes.

Track any Polymarket wallet. Pick which activity types count (buys, sells, merges, splits, redemptions), add optional filters, and give it a label like "Whale #1".

  • Activity filter — choose one or more of Buy / Sell / Merge / Split / Redeem.
  • Size range — minimum and maximum USD or share size.
  • Tags — only fire for trades on markets matching specific categories.
  • Keywords — only fire for markets whose title matches.
  • Label — shown in every notification so you know which wallet fired.

Attach a rule to a specific market. Four types:

  • Price hit — fires when the Yes or No side crosses a price in cents (e.g. 75¢). Pick direction (above / below) and side (Yes / No).
  • Volatility — fires when the price swings more than N% (peak-to-trough) within a rolling window. Presets: 30s, 1m, 5m, 30m, 1h, or a custom value up to 6 hours.
  • Market trade — fires on any trade above a USD size on this market. Optional side filter (Yes / No / Both).
  • Resolution — notifies you the moment the market resolves.

Watch the whole of Polymarket for activity that matches broad filters.

  • Global trade — fires on any trade anywhere that matches your size range, categories, and keywords. Use a tight min_price/max_price window to catch specific pricing regimes (e.g. max 50¢ = underdog trades only).
  • New market — fires when a newly listed market matches your filters. Flip the keyword mode to Exclude to filter out noise: e.g. add the phrase up or down to hide crypto ticker up/down markets.

Common options

Every subscription also supports:

OptionWhat it does
LabelOptional tag shown in every alert from this sub.
ExpiryAuto-archive after a preset (1h, 6h, 24h, 1w) or a custom date.
Delivery channelIn-app, Telegram, or Both — per-sub override.

Subscriptions can be edited at any time. Deleting a sub archives it (soft delete) — the rule stops firing immediately, and past alerts it generated remain in your inbox.

Delivery channels

Every subscription delivers through one of three channels:

In-app

Notifications appear instantly via WebSocket — a toast and an entry in your inbox.

Telegram

Delivered as a direct message from @PreddyApp_bot with a clickable link to the market.

Both

Belt and braces — in-app toast plus a Telegram DM.

Connecting Telegram

Go to alert settings and link your Telegram. Works both in a browser and inside the Telegram Mini App.

Start the Preddy bot

After linking, open @PreddyApp_bot and press Start. Without this step, Telegram won't deliver messages to you — it's a rule on Telegram's side, not ours.

Send a test message

From alert settings, send a test. If it arrives, you're good. If you get an error, re-open the bot and press Start again.

If you block the bot or clear your chat history, Telegram delivery stops automatically. Re-start the bot to resume — Preddy detects blocks and re-enables delivery as soon as you press Start again.

Telegram delivery under load

Telegram enforces two hard rate limits on bots: 1 message per second per chat and ≈30 messages per second across the whole bot. Going over either triggers 429 responses and, if breached too aggressively, a cooldown of minutes to hours where Telegram refuses all of that bot's sends. Preddy paces every send below both limits (a 1.5-second gap per chat, 20 sends per second globally) so normal traffic never gets close.

When activity spikes — say you're subscribed to a handful of very active wallets that all trade in the same second — some alerts may be held back:

Staleness cutoff

If a Telegram message would arrive more than 60 seconds after the underlying event, it's dropped. A stale 'this happened a minute ago' notification is worse than nothing.

Catch-up summary

When alerts are dropped, you receive a single follow-up message like '🔕 12 recent alerts skipped — open the app to view them', sent once every minute or so. It never overwhelms the chat.

Temporary pause

If Telegram punishes the bot for your chat with a long retry window, Preddy respects it and stops trying for up to 1 hour. Sends resume automatically afterward.

App is the source of truth

Every alert — delivered or not — is always visible in the app at /alerts. Telegram is a convenience layer on top.

If a subscription is generating far more alerts than a normal user reads (e.g. you're tracking an automated trading bot that fills hundreds of orders per minute), you'll see lots of catch-up summaries and most individual alerts will be skipped in Telegram. Consider tightening your filters (min USD size, keywords, tags) — the feed in the app still captures everything.

Alert lists

Lists let you bundle related subscriptions and share them publicly. Think of them as curated alert feeds other people can follow.

Create a list

Pick a name, color, optional description, and visibility (Public or Private). Add any wallet, market, or global subscription to it.

Follow a list

Subscribe to someone else's public list and choose how you want to be notified — in-app, Telegram, both, or silent.

Silent follow

Silent followers see the list in their sidebar and open the feed on demand — no inbox noise.

Public feed

Every public list has a shareable feed page. Alerts triggered by the list's subscriptions appear for all followers.

Owners vs followers

  • Owners manage the list — add, edit, or remove subscriptions. Owners are automatically followers of their own lists.
  • Followers get the alerts. They cannot edit subscriptions, but they react to alerts and share the feed.
  • Visibility is immutable after creation. A Private list cannot be flipped to Public or vice versa — create a new list instead.

Reactions

Inside a list's feed, you can react to any alert with one of four emoji: 🔥 Fire, 👀 Eye, ❤️ Heart, 👎 Thumb down. Reactions are scoped per list — the same alert appearing in two lists has independent counts in each.

Stack multiple reactions on the same alert if you want. Counts update live as other followers react.

Explore lists

Browse public lists other users have created from Explore Lists. Sorted by follower count with search by name, slug, or description.

Feed

Your alerts live at /alerts. The sidebar shows three built-in views plus every list you've created or followed.

ViewContains
My alertsYour own trades, deposits, withdrawals, token shares events, market resolutions, and invite code grants.
My walletsEvery alert from wallets you track.
My marketsMarket-level alerts — price hits, volatility, market trades, new markets.
<list name>The feed of any list you own or follow.

All views paginate, refresh live, and share the same compact alert card with a market thumbnail, actor info, timestamp, and a link to the market. The in-app notifications popup uses the same three filters.

Mobile

The /alerts route is fully responsive — on mobile, the sidebar and feed each take the full screen. A Feed entry is pinned in the bottom navigation bar for one-tap access.

Settings

Open Settings from the alerts sidebar to tune defaults:

SettingWhat it does
Personal tradesChannel for alerts on your own wallet activity.
Personal resolutionsChannel for alerts when markets you hold resolve.

SubscriptionsFull list of your active subscriptions — edit or archive in place.
Subscribed listsEvery list you follow or own, with per-list delivery channel and unfollow.

Changes apply immediately. Owners of a list cannot unfollow it — archive the list if you want to stop seeing its feed entirely.
