Introduction
Protect positions with automatic sells when the price reaches a level you choose.
Stop Losses help protect an open position when the market moves against you. You choose the price level, and Preddy can sell automatically if that level is reached.
Use this page as a clear starting point. The existing detailed stop losses page remains available as the full reference.
When to use stop losses
Use stop losses when you already hold a position and want a clear exit rule. They are useful when you cannot watch the market all the time, or when you want to define risk before a position moves too far.
A stop loss is a protection rule, not a guarantee of a specific final price. Market movement, liquidity, and execution settings can affect the final result.
